If you’re arranging pet cremation, you’ll usually be asked to choose between individual and communal cremation. Here’s what each option means, in plain language.
What is individual pet cremation?
Individual cremation means your pet is cremated separately. If you choose this option, ashes can usually be returned—ask what’s included and how return works.
What is communal pet cremation?
Communal cremation means pets are cremated together. Ashes are not typically returned with this option.
Which option is right for me?
Choose individual cremation if you’d like ashes returned (where available)
Choose communal cremation if you prefer a simpler option
